Jim Addington
Founder
Jim Addington founded Mechanical Solutions in 2011, bringing decades of expertise to the company. With a career in the HVAC industry dating back to 1976, Jim has built Mechanical Solutions from the ground up and takes immense pride in its success. His leadership has been defined by a commitment to excellence and a deep respect for his team, always prioritizing the well-being of both key personnel and field staff. His deep knowledge of HVAC systems and ability to turn complex plans into solutions quickly set the standard for the company. Jim’s leadership has shaped Mechanical Solutions into a trusted name in the industry and reminds us that true leadership is measured by the lives we uplift and the futures we help shape.
After years of hands-on involvement, Jim is now transitioning into a more advisory role, confident in the capabilities of his two co-owners to lead the company forward. He trusts their decisions and knows they will uphold the high standards that customers expect.
Mitch Manuel
Construction Manager / Co-Owner
Mitch Manuel has been with Mechanical Solutions for 11 years. His unwavering dedication has allowed growth within the company from a technician in a van to co-owner and construction manager.
Mitch brings over 22 years of experience in the HVAC field with him to help maintain a solid foundation of knowledge and passion for the trade. His knowledge in the field from residential installation, commercial service, sales, and project management make him an asset to all departments.
He currently has 20+ men that report directly to him and all would be proud to acknowledge this. He possesses strong leadership skills which allow direction for everyone to excel in the close knit team that he has constructed.
Mitch’s leadership skills and involvement in teaching others is a never-ending responsibility that he takes pride in. He has an unwavering commitment to serve the youth in the community as a football coach, basketball coach, and mentor. His largest accomplishment is the family he has built with his beautiful wife Kristina and their two boys.
Mike Gibbs
Service Manager / Co-Owner
Mike brings over 31 years of experience in the HVAC Industry to his leadership role at Mechanical Solutions. As Service Manager and Co-Owner, he is responsible for overseeing all service operations and managing a team of 12 highly skilled field technicians. His commitment to excellence ensures that every project is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Mike is widely recognized for his strong work ethic and hands-on leadership style. He leads, by example, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and customer-focused service throughout the organization. His ability to balance strategic oversight with operational efficiency has been instrumental in driving Mechanical Solutions’ reputation for reliability and superior performance.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mike values spending quality time with his daughter, taking great pride in being a dedicated and supportive parent. He is also an avid outdoorsman with a passion for deer hunting, which reflects his appreciation for nature and perseverance.
Mike’s combination of technical expertise, leadership experience, and personal integrity makes him an essential part of Mechanical Solutions’ continued success and growth.
John Fulcher
Estimator
John has been with Mechanical Solutions since 2011. He has over 38 years’ experience in the HVAC field. He began his career working in the equipment and parts distribution side and later transitioned to service, working hands-on in the field performing equipment commissioning and troubleshooting across a wide range of commercial and industrial systems.
In 2019, John transitioned into estimating, where his extensive field background allowed him to develop accurate, practical, and cost-effective proposals. His ability to interpret complex project requirements and anticipate real-world installation challenges makes him a trusted resource for both clients and internal project teams.
Billie Jo Arhart
Office Manager / Assistant Project Manager
Billie Jo has over 25 years of administrative experience in the HVAC industry and brings organization, efficiency, and reliable support to every project. The team depends on her for streamlining office operations, supporting the project manager, and organizing field tasks.
Her role extends beyond paperwork as she is always willing to jump in wherever it’s needed even if that means executing deliveries or operating the forklift to assist the shipping and receiving department. She approaches every task with hard work and dedication to help the company succeed.
Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her son and family. She’s all about exploring nature, upcycling old furniture, and traveling to new places. And even though she’s absolutely terrified of heights, she’ll still jump out of a plane without hesitation – tandem skydiving remains one of her favorite thrills.
Robert Mayhew
Estimator
Robert is one of Mechanical Solutions Estimators, bringing extensive expertise in design-build projects, Building Information Modeling (BIM), engineered drawings, project management, and cost estimating. With over 20 years of experience in project management and six years in construction, Robert delivers precision and efficiency to every project. Prior to joining our team, he spent 16 years in government contracting and proudly served nine years in the military, demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence and discipline.
Outside of work Robert treasures time with his family and finds joy in supporting his wife as she builds her new career as a healthcare professional. He takes pride in being her biggest cheerleader, helping her succeed while sharing milestones together in life. Family is the heart of everything Robert does.
Shawn Hodges
Service Field Supervisor
As the Service Field Supervisor, Shawn is dedicated to maintaining a culture of professionalism, quality, and integrity. With over 17 years of hands-on technical experience, he oversees field operations, supports technicians, and ensures that every project meets the highest standards of customer satisfaction. Shawn takes pride in leading by example, promoting accountability and a customer-focused mindset throughout the team.
Nathan Schold
Assistant Project Manager
Nathan Schold brings over two decades of hands-on experience in the HVAC industry, one of which he has dedicated solely to Mechanical Solutions. He started in HVAC service and installation, but with his hard work ethic and passion for the industry he has grown tremendously within the company.
Today he serves as an assistant project manager, where he oversees operations in the field and provides critical support to act as a buffer between his field team and management. His deep knowledge of HVAC systems and commitment to quality make him expendable to every intricate project he leads.
Nate likes to unwind while four wheeling on the beaches of Cape Hatteras, NC with the salt air in his face and sand below his feet. He is also an avid camper and frequents the National Parks of Virginia when he has time away from his indispensable tasks at Mechanical Solutions. Through all of this, Nate remains a devoted husband to his wife of fifteen years, Courtney, and a proud father of their two boys.
